Emo..

Continued from the previous post..

I should say OB Taiwan was a challenge to me.
Though I appear to be strong but i'm physically and mentally weak..
This course really took me away from my comfort zone..
Making me go through things tat i nv once thought of..
The extreme coldness (which i'm afraid most), typhoon speed wind, descending from high level (afraid of heights) and of course the fast flowing water (I dunno how to swim).
I cannot imagine how I manage to survive through.
Felt guilty to be tat weak that requires a lot of people help..
N here I shall thank James (NYP) for guiding me through the trekking trail and offering me jelly beans. Wen Ting that pull me up when there is slopes and took care of me when i'm shivering from the cold. Joe and Deng Lin (NYP) that help me descend on the last day. Benjamin, Kenneth (NYP) and Daren that helped me during the water tracing. N last of all.. All the help that I received from the rest of the team.
Thank You!
I promise that i will be stronger the next time u see me.. =)

I too learn that there is nothing you cannot do when u are determined..
No matter how tough the route is.. there is nth you can do beside going straight...
You may even wanna give up after struggling through the route for too long..
However.. Everything.. It's all in the MIND..
Once you believe in yourself.. You will be able to do what you really want in LIFE...
You may realised you took the wrong route and feeling upset.
It's okie, just continue and there will be a new route opening up for you...
You will never know at the end of the route, sth good is waiting for you....
One famous quote " No Pain, No Gain"
N i too believe " I'm CHRISTINA!!!"

Target maybe set to accomplish but it depend on situation.
Though we are not able to climb snow mountain and also the two peak that we are suppose to go.. But it's the experience that counts. You will not be able to climb the same mountain with the same people again. Treasure the time you spend with your mates. Even if you are going with the same people, you will get to experience more new things. It will nv be the same..
I can actually tell you.. I treasure those that went for these course.. They are the one that make everything happen.. N all memories are wonderful...

I guess everyone will be back to their own busy life. N i think once a while i shall take a look at those photos that bring back all those wonderful memories... I really miss OB TAIWAN!!!

Yap.. Away for 10 days.. My grandma and my parents miss me the most.. The rest of my fren? I guess they didn't even know that i went Taiwan.. I even left Changi Airport on the first day with disappointment.. Great huh?

Thought i sort out my thoughts at Taiwan.. But in the end...... N yah.. I had a big quarrel... Things are getting a bit out of hand.. Pray for me i guess...

OB Taiwan

Yap.. I'm back from OB Taiwan two days ago..
Too tired to go online to blog..
N now i shall blog a bit of that wonderful trip.
OB Taiwan is a awesome and memorable journey..
From cooking our daily meals to fighting against the stong wind and rain..
The experiences and memories we had is beyond words to describe..

Day 1 (15 Oct)

We reach Taipei at around 8 plus in the night and went for dinner at a nearly resturant and went over to the hostel to rest..

Day 2 (16 Oct)

Had our physical training and breakfast before proceeding to some team building games and high rope elements. Was given all our foodstuff, sleeping bags, tents and backpacks. Lots of things to carry up the mountain for the next 6 days..

Day 3 (17 Oct)

We got a bad news early in the morning.. We are not able to climb Snow Mountain due to the typhoon, so we have to climb the other mountains. Took about 5 hrs ride to a small town high in the mountain. By the time we reach, it was nightfall and we have to pitch our tents under the rain and we had our first outdoor cooking at the pitch dark place.

Day 4 (18 Oct)

Not able to proceed on due to the bad weather. We went for some outdoor lesson. There was a short introduction of taiwan mountain range by the instructors. We were oso taught how to dig our own "cathole", build top, tie proper shoelaces..

Day 5 (19 Oct)

Went downhill to wait for van to send us to the trail head to Tianranchi.. While waiting, we were taught how to use our trekking pole, how to walk properly so as not to hurt our ankle and a simple warm up dance.. The van can onli take 7 people at a time so after 2 hrs of waiting.. We were ready to set off to Tianranchi. Steep slopes, bushes, raining increase the difficulties of the journey. When we reach Tianranchi, we were drained out and we were shivering.. Drink some hot water, pitch our tent and get ready to cook our dinner under the squeezy top.

Day 6 (20 Oct)

Sunny Day.. Took out all our stuff to sun. Went over to the nearest peak (2986m) and took lots of photos. Had our solo time and went back to build some artifacts from the nature. It started raining and we have to keep all our stuff. It started to pour heavily and that was the time when i got slight hypertemia. I was shivering, wanted to vomit and having some headache. Start to shiver and was unable to move my body. I started crying and the headache got worst. Frens around start giving me hot water and help me change into dry clothes. It was quite chaos and I was attack by the environment when i was low on guard. Was tuck warmly into one of the teachers sleeping and was being fed with chocs and water to keep myself warm. First time ever and i wish that will nv happen again..

Day 7 (21 Oct)

Learnt my lesson... The moment i woke up been eating lots of trail food and drinking lots of water. After our breakfast we were ready to proceed to Bei He Huan San. The route was tough as it was covered by "potential" bamboo. The moment u lose your concentration, you will be received a nice stroke from the bamboo right onto your face. We had to climb up and down almost vertical slopes with our backpacks. As we get higher, the lower the temperature. Our campsite is located at about 3200m plus. N the wind was blowing strongly. When i reach the campsite, i was rewarded with jelly beans.. Haha.. =P

Day 8 (22nd Oct)

It was raining too heavily.. No choice but cancel the trekking down the other two peaks which takes about 12hrs to and fro. We had to descend. We were walking at the edge of the cliff when the wind is blowing at 70km/h. As the descend was really difficult due to the rain and wind.. I start to think of mummy.. Really miss her and just wanna hug her when i'm back.. While walking, I nearly flew off with the wind. Due to everyone's help, we were back safely to the town, enjoying our best dinner throughout the 8 days at one of the resturant..

Day 9 (23rd Oct)

Weather was really hot and it as like 35 degree celsius. Wash all our tents, backpacks and personal equipment. Had our solo time once again and went over to a famous tea factory where they show us how the process of producing tea leaves. Came back to cook pizza using stove and it taste delicious.. =)

Day 10 (24 Oct)

Went over to a stream near a town where we had our water tracing. Unable to swim, my leg was like stuck to the ground whenever i wish to move. The water is fast flowing due to the rain from the past few days. We did sort of like " jetty jump", move from one side to another either by wading or moving with ropes if the water is too fast.. Got lots of bruises at the end of the activities. But it was fun.. Went back to base camp and had an awesome steamboat as next day is Moon Cake Festival.. Haha.. Yummy..

Day 11 (25 Oct)

Last day.. Pack and wash up everything so as to make sure the place is as clean as we first came.. Had our certificate presentation. I guess we all are proud of ourselves when we first received the certificate and we sure gonna miss this trip. Took lots of photos with the instructors and off we go to ShiLin for 1hr shopping. Didn't really buy much beside a notebook and a "chip" bear. Went over to airport to get some local snacks and yap... Took our flights and back to Singapore...

Fun trip isn't it? Like i say all the experiences are beyond describe. If wanna know more u can ask me or those that went for the course.. I miss and I really treasure the course...

Pahang Trip.

HELLO!!!
Yap.. I'm back in Singapore le.. Miss me?? =P
Pahang trip was okie... I did have fun with the kids..
First group of kids were from Kuo Chuan Pri school..
As they are young, they need to be told over and over again..
First nite at the 1 star hotel was horrible..
We reach about 3am.
Thought tat we are able to rest properly after such long train ride..
However, the boys were so "excited" that they keep banging on others hotel room doors at 6am in the morning...
So thanks to them, we didn't manage to sleep very well..
N of course, they were being yelled at by their teachers n some of the instuctors.

Next group was from Ping Yi sec..
It was a fun group to be with even though some of them are a bit rude as they are from Normal Tech. But they were okie..
Their first activity was night walk..
Some of the girls were crying as they were to walk in pairs in the total darkness for about 1km plus.
The route is scary as you can't see your fingers in front of u..
They were totally freak out and I have to encourage those girls to stop crying and give it a try..
In the end, they did manage to complete it and i'm so proud of them.
Next day, went caving twice.
N yap.. I got a leech bite. Sianz..
The day pass quickly and i'm busy packing my stuff to set off to the train station.
Suddenly, a girl was crying very loudly and she was so weak that she could hardly walk.
N yap, suspecting that she saw that "thing" and the teachers was praying for her.
After praying, she was being send to the nearest clinic.
Thought everything will be peaceful again, but within few mins.
We heard one more shouting at the tops of her voice..
N yap.. Another similar case..
Total 3 malay girls saw "them" and were send to the resort to rest..
N I back to console the rest of the chinese girls who were scared by the shouting.
N at last they were calm enough to rest..
Long day for me...
I guess they were too noisy and they actually disturb those things at nite.
N of course, they were back to attack those weak ones..
All the teachers and instructors were on high alert that day..
Long story i guess..
Wat an experience for me..

Tml will be Setting off again to Malaysia, Kuala Rompin Resort.
Hope things goes well and they are easy to handle..
N one last thing.. Haha.. I will be working at the Robinson center again..
Boss willing to hire me to get some admin stuff done..
N yap.. I will be working office hours..
Will be getting busy for this 2 mths holiday..
Date me yap.. hehe.. =) Catch up soon..
